Kazakhstan is a large Eurasian country in Central Asia; it is ranked as the ninth-largest country in the world, with a territory of about 7,311 square miles (about 12,000 square kilometers). It shares borders with China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
